London Fashion Week | Autumn / Winter 2019 Slovak Fashion Council
This season we made the conscious effort to discover new talent! Whilst the likes of Burberry making school boy errors, with their insensitive use of noose style hoodie strings (whoever thought this was a good idea is an absolute idiot), we took the time to discover emerging designers with real passion and purpose. Continuing their efforts to champion, nurture and showcase an array of international talent during London Fashion Week, the best place for new discovery was definitely at Fashion Scout.
Kicking things off with a collaboration with Slovak Fashion Council, Fashion Scout introduced five Slovak designers and their cutting edge collections, as part of the International Fashion Showcase: Lukáš Krnáč, Pavol Dendis, Petra Kubíková, Silvia Zrebná and Vivien Babicová.
With the use of bold colours and a mishmash of fabrics, Lukáš Krnáč really caught our attention. His designs push boundaries however, not past the point of being wearable. Our favourite look, the cropped mustard yellow sweater with splattered paint, worn over a mini see-through slip dress and natural coloured underpants - accompanied with over the knee red socks and the sickest fluorescent yellow, platform boots with thigh high attachments (see image above).
With more of a darker toned palette, we also took a liking to the designs from Silvia Zrebná. Her collection showcased the use of different fabrics and textures, from silk bases to quilted detailing. The use of metal chained face accessories, really brought the models and their looks to life.
