Miso Extra - Great Taste feat. NAYANA IZ [Video]

Providing the UK music scene with a sound that’s both universally inspired, yet unique and fresh in all aspects is London-based Miso Extra. Recently sharing her EP title track ‘Great Taste’, featuring British-South Asian vocalist Nayana IZ, alongside an artistic visual accompaniment.

The hypnotic single is characterised by Miso’s introspective lyricism which she utters with bilingual ease over the glitchy, composite production.“’Great Taste’ explores the rising that your current state of being might not always be the best and if nothing changes the future ahead isn’t appealing; if anything, terrifying,” explains Miso on the track. “It’s expressing a desire to join hands with those who want to follow their dreams and enter an alternative future.” Her vision is captured by the transcendental impression that lingers from the track. “Nayana IZ was able to bring her incredible wisdom of words to the table and further iterates the bittersweet struggles of self-development,” Miso adds regarding the collaboration.

‘Great Taste’ features on the now-released EP alongside ‘Deep Fried ', ‘1013’, ‘Adventures of Tricky ‘n’ Duke’ and ‘Tadori’ meaning “to arrive” or “to struggle on to.” Miso’s music explores themes surrounding femininity, female empowerment and being of mixed heritage, giving her music depth and awareness.
