Strama - Last Time [Audio]

‘Last Time’ is the new introspective track from London-based newcomer Martina Stramaccioni’s moniker Strama. Born and raised in the Netherlands, she draws upon her rich Italian-Romanian heritage, eclectic influences, and classical training to unite a wide variety of sounds.

The dreamy release adopts an airy alt-R&B sound, letting the track drift along seamlessly around Strama’s silky vocal tones. It captures the resentfulness many young people felt towards the year spent missing milestones, while reminding listeners there’s always more to come. In a statement about the track she shared:

“I wanted to honour the ambiguity but also let them know that we can be helpful for the future and continue to just enjoy living.”

‘Last Time’ serves as the perfect introduction to an artist whose musical background has given her a wealth of skill and talent. Having trained as a professional classical pianist before her ability to play was jeopardised by a string of hand injuries, Strama went on to teach herself music production, explaining that it allowed her to take control and ownership of her art.  This is the first single taken from her upcoming debut EP ‘Silver Lining’ which is scheduled for release early 2022.
