CRUZA - Groove Therapy [Audio]
American band CRUZA explores the conflicting emotions existent in a toxic relationship through their new single ‘Groove Therapy’. Pairing downbeat R&B melody and synthesizers galore with melancholic vocals, the song plays on the ambivalences of the topic in an elegant, concise way. Vocalist Adam Kain explains:
“‘Groove Therapy’ is a song that I wrote about a previous unhealthy relationship that I was in during college that, due to its self-destructive nature, resembled more of a substance dependency than it did a typical relationship.”
With their first album ‘Cult Research’ launched last year, CRUZA is Adam (vocals), Charity Joy Brown (guitar) and AJ Roth (bass and percussion). They have collaborated with rapper Mick Jenkins, have been featured in Worldwide FM and BBC Radio 1Xtra and are currently touring with the Puma Blue’s North American tour. It takes a lot of work to make music look this simple.
