Tamera - Strong For Me [Video]

Following on from the success of her sultry summer single ‘Wickedest’ is Tamera with her new reflective track ‘Strong For Me’. This new release still flaunts her vocal prowess, soaring from soft and airy to a beautifully controlled powerhouse verse, but this time with a mellow R&B approach.

Taken from her forthcoming debut EP due for release later this year, ‘Strong For Me’, is a warm laid-back track with pop tropes that give it an instant appeal. Lyrically the track captures the moments when we realise we’ve become engulfed in our own insecurities and shut off to those trying to support us. “This song came out the end of a long road of transformation,” shares Tamera on her thoughts behind the track. “It was inspired by all the grit we have to go through to get from hard times back to the good ones and how closed off it can make us towards those who are closest to us.”

The track’s accompaniment comes from Fuego Films and uses several contrasting elements to visually present two opposing sides to Tamera. Taking us on a journey from light to dark, with light white colour schemes and shots of Tamera in a bathtub surrounded by butterflies, to the deep cherry red tones, black mesh and potions that evoke elements of danger and desire. Tamera’s use of lived experiences to inspire her songwriter illuminates her tracks, making her music appear genuine as she often explores stories of love and humanity.

Along with the release of ‘Strong For Me’, Tamara also shares the news of her debut solo live show at The Grace on November 3 2021, which is set to be a strong performance from an artist already recognised by tastemakers to be one to watch.
