Lizzy McAlpine - erase me feat. Jacob Collier [Video]
Emerging musician Lizzy McAlpine has teamed up with Grammy-Award winning artist Jacob Collier on guitar-led offering ’erase me,’ exploring the coping mechanism of seeking comfort in the bed of strangers, after a breakup. Led by her sultry, melodic vocals backdropped by pulsing beats and ethereal backing vocals, the groovy, laid-back track captures a sense of loneliness which is sure to connect with listeners.
With an accompanying music video directed by Gus Black, McAlpine perfectly encapsulates the aftermath of a breakup. Speaking about it, she shared: “You fill the space that person left with strangers in an attempt to forget. At the end of the video, we see that it didn't work because I end up back at the school from my previously released 'doomsday' video. You can try all you want to forget them, but as soon as you're reminded, you're heartbroken again."
Consistently impressing listeners with her emotive soundscapes, ‘erase me,’ re-approves Lizzy McAlpine’s status as a rising star.
