KYE - Tuesday feat. Jerome Farah [Video]
Zimbabwe-born, London-raised, Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter KYE returns with third single ‘Tuesday’, a groovy offering featuring breakout musician Jerome Farah. With an atmospheric feel woven by spacey keys, the layered production opens with Farah’s laid-back verse which gives away to KYE’s sultry, syrupy vocals. Honing in on the ethereal, summery brand of neo-soul, that has developed the world-hopping musician’s signature, the track brims with nostalgia and romance.
"'Tuesday' is about that person who leaves you a little lonely but you're willing to wait however long it takes to win them over,” KYE shares on the track. “They may not be ready to love you, and there's a part of you that knows that, but you still jump through every hoop. This song came so naturally, Jerome and Jacob Farah, 18YOMAN, and myself were just jamming and it wrote itself. It has the really nostalgic springtime feel to it that I love."
Conjuring up vivid images of unrequited love and the willingness to wait for the person you know is made for you, ‘Tuesday’, and its accompanying visuals directed by the ARIA-nominated Sanjay de Silva, is an enchanting production that sees the young musician – only two songs into her career blossom into a confident, creative artist with innovative ideas and a maturing voice.
