MORGAN - ADCT [Video]

London R&B singer MORGAN has re-released her single ‘ADCT’ much to the delight of the TikTok community. Originally released in 2018 when she was only 17 years old, the track has been picked up by TikTok users for its heartfelt lyrics and relatable narrative, making it the perfect sing-along R&B ballad.

Characterised by her soulful voice, ‘ADCT’ hears MORGAN confront the truth and stand up for herself in a toxic relationship that’s failing her. Being half Jamaican, she incorporates subtle patois into her lyrics which gives the track endearing originality. She sings:

“Who is gonna love you like I do boo? // I sacrificed it all because I care for // You could never be my man // For as long as you see them girls // So mi affi stop it, stop it // It’s not working, working // Put all of my feelings to bed // I can never compromise with you boy // It’s like blood out a stone.”

The release follows recent single ‘Nobody Else’, featuring London rapper Kasien, and ‘Behave’, a drill-tinged collaboration with fellow rising artist Jevon. MORGAN has also shared new visuals for the track directed by Joe Wood. They follow her through the streets of London dressed in elegant garms and flashy jewels, reinforcing the image of sophistication and self-awareness.
