Milan Ring - Pick Me Up feat. Jean Deaux [Video]

Australian R&B talent, Milan Ring, has announced the release of her highly anticipated debut album I’m Feeling Hopeful, alongside new sultry single ‘Pick Me Up’, featuring multi-faceted artist and rapper Jean Deaux.

‘Pick Me Up’ see’s Milan Ring muse over a journey of indulgence, lust and confidence that some experience and others long for, on a night out. The vocals from Milan Ring and Jean Deaux drift between soft, light and airy to bold and impassioned, hinting at the playful promiscuous-tinged lyrics backed by the bassy production and scattered guitar.

Milan Ring continues to draw upon her rich heritage with the use of the Indian dance symbol mudra Allapadma announcing themes of royalty and beauty. It features on the single’s artwork as well as in the opening scene of the Natasha Foster-directed music video, giving the track a sophisticated feel. Shot in a warm golden hue, the scenes mirror the heat and passion that’s depicted throughout the track. With stunning choreography from Sela Vai, the captivating video also features an appearance from Jean Deaux with scenes shot in LA.

Milan Ring’s debut album, I’m Feeling Hopeful, is due out for release on December 3 via Australian tastemaker label Astral People Recordings. Sure to explore more raw and honest themes, this release is set to be another impressive collection from this young pioneer.
