Anna Leone - Once [Video]

Anna Leone’s raspy vocals return in her delicate new single ‘Once’, the follow up to last years ‘Wondering’ that sees Leone in a characteristically reflective mood. The dream-like visual perfectly captures the introversion of the track. Shot in the stunning vista of the Azores, the green and brown colour palette is at once striking and earthy, mixing surreal elements with a more lucid feel. Gentle guitar plucks throughout the track complement Leone’s folky voice, which is layered with emotions as she fights - and then relishes - the opportunity to grow. As she reconciles with her younger self in a stunning final scene, the ethereal sounds take us as high as the parting aerial shot, and linger in the mind for a long while afterwards.
