Alfa Mist - Run Outs [Audio Video]

London jazz phenomenon Alfa Mist releases his hypnotic, skittering single ‘Run Outs’, alongside the welcome announcement of a new record, ‘Bring Backs’ which will drop on April 23 2020.

Over the past five years the producer, pianist, bandleader and MC has steadily established himself as one of the most exciting talents to emerge from London’s widely celebrated jazz reformation. Alfa seems to have always carved his own lane, purposely pursuing a form of songwriting free from the trappings of traditional musical training. ‘Run Outs’ really demonstrates Alpha’s enviable skill set, and sees the artist thoughtfully melding intricate jazz instrumentals with dynamic hip-hop beats to create truly beguiling music, tinged with experimentalism.

Speaking on the single, Alfa explains, “Run Outs is a street game I remember playing when I was younger. I used to think of making beats and playing with a band as separate worlds until I realised I was always trying to achieve the same thing. Making the music I want to make. With the song ‘Run Outs’ I'm bringing together the vibe of my earliest beats with where I'm at today."
