Kaniva - Good Evening [Video]

South London based rapper Kaniva releases his new single ‘Good Evening,’ the lead track taken from his forthcoming second EP, due for release this summer.

Finessing the infectious sound of UK Drill with his tongue and cheek approach, Kaniva continues to show off his lyrical ability to story tell whilst also delivering a sense of comedic value. Creating that much needed balance of vibes and irony the British Ghanaian raps, “I’ve been a scumbag from early and your girl knows but a mans still beating.” The audacity of this bar alone is so feisty, it’s brilliant! Known for delivering hard-hitting and blunt punchlines, Kaniva holds a unique position within the UK rap scene. For sure, he’s still very much on the rise but he’s definitely one to keep on your radar.

Although ‘Good Evening’ officially dropped today, Kaniva shared the visuals for the single yesterday. The video opens with words from Kaniva, proclaiming that the original plan for this visual was to hire a mansion, big boy whips he cant afford yet and feature the same video girls like all the other rap videos we’ve seen of late. Unfortunately covid-19 put these plans to bed, we personally think it worked in his favour.
