Joe Xu - U Turn 回头 [Video]

Sweden-based Chinese R&B artist Joe Xu gets revenge with her smooth neo-soul track ‘U Turn 回头’.

It starts out innocent enough, bad table-manners and excessive lazing leads Xu to yank her man’s clothes out of the closet, curl her eyelashes and generously apply lip-gloss (perhaps in preparation for the single life?) But soon we see a cinematic shot of Xu parking her car up in a field, getting out and heading to the trunk. The open trunk reveals her boyfriend stashed away, struggling with a paper bag over his head. What Xu decides to do next might shock you...

Learning to build beats and produce songs from her bedroom, the 21 year old artist has created a series of digitally infused concoctions which boast a familiar soul sound, mixed with sparkling hints of quirkiness. Watch the darkly humoured visuals for her latest creation here:
