Downtown Kayoto - Do Better [Video]

Up-and-coming R&B artist Downtown Kayoto drops bouncy jam ‘Do Better’.

Real name Chiko Chinyadza, The Zimbabwe born, Hull raised 19-year-old decided to name himself after his love of Japanese culture and anime. In ‘Do Better’ the artist presents his alternative spin on R&B, flipping between smooth vocals and slick bars over a warm guitar melody and a down-tempo beat.

The track’s captivating visualiser depicts the artist and a red-haired girl in a rural environment, standing in the woods and hanging out in the caravan - but we’re left guessing about what their story is (if there even is one). It’s a little bit different, rather intriguing and has an avant-garde edge, just like Downtown himself. Fans of Frank Ocean should take note!
