Stereo Jane - Amen [Video]
Artist and activist twin sister-duo Stereo Jane release their soulful new single, ‘Amen’ with an evocative accompanying video.
Lead singer and guitarist Sydney and drummer Mia Schmier are Detroit born, Los Angeles based musicians who together create intense, lush yet wholly accessible genre spanning music; a thoughtful blend of their rock, indie, pop and soul influences. This year, the band also released the quirky electronic indie-rock tinged pop track ‘I don’t wanna talk about me’ which, with its infectious hooks and sassy, panging chorus, will have you hitting replay. ‘Amen’ is a comparably more contemplative and stirring song about finding strength and hope during your darkest moments. The powerful track arrives with an arresting, light and dark styled video directed by Brad Wong. It’s a captivating listen, with rich emotive vocals that build to a crescendo for the track’s mighty chorus.
Speaking on the release, Stereo Jane explain: “Amen is a song about searching within yourself to find your own strength and hope during the darkest of moments. With the social justice movements and chaos happening in our country, it’s important to look within to get through these trying times. We hope this music video evokes each of us to examine ourselves and hopefully remind everyone that we are going to make it through this together. We all have our bad days. There’s no shame in having each other to get through it.”
