Rocky Star AW19 Collection as shown at Fashion Scout

Good meets evil for Rocky Star’s autumn / winter 2019 collection. An expression of darkness sets the tone however, enchanted by bursts of metallic colours and sparkle. Inspired by Vatican architecture, the collection features the designers take on Michaelangelo’s ‘Separation of light from darkness’ painting.

The season’s theme of contrasting textures continues, as Rocky Star collides bold knitwear with pleated sequin and quilted pieces. Patch pockets, broad collars and feathers lend to the oddities in silk, organza, velvet and metallic fabrics presented through the use of ruffles, lace and drape detailing. The layering of the differing elements really encapsulates a gothic vibe, with subtle notes to high-style femininity.
