Mahalia - Do Not Disturb [Video]

British R&B singer-songwriter Mahalia officially delivers her first single this year with ‘Do Not Disturb,’ produced by Felix Joseph.

The video directed by KLDVR, focuses on Mahalia taking the spotlight as she sings about reclaiming herself and her time, from fruitless relationships. The British singer deviates away from her usual mellowness and directs her soulful vocals over a more upbeat tempo, which makes this the perfect bop for the coming spring. She sings, "no, you're not mine, you just pretend to be, don't need you tempting me with your alerts, do not disturb,” playfully highlighting the concept that we’re exactly like our cell phones and we often need to put ourselves on ‘‘do not disturb” for the sake of our own sanity.

The 90’s R&B influenced track was shared ahead of yesterday’s BRIT Awards, where Mahalia was rightfully nominated for the Critic’s Choice Award. Mahalia is also currently working on her album which is set to drop this summer, as well as headlining her ‘Do Not Disturb’ tour.
