A$AP Rocky - Sundress [Video]

A$AP Rocky drops new single ‘Sundress’ co-produced by Danger Mouse, serving a fusion of pop, disco and rap, aided by an experimental video.

Directed by Frank Lebon, the video shows a female entering a club looking for A$AP Rocky. The video uses freeze-frame, vintage colouring and a whole load of aesthetic filters. The woman finally finds Rocky, to which she raises a gun to him and while in mid motion, the words "love, pain, torn, hurt, ache, break, jealous, sundress, night, dream" appear on the screen and we are transported to flashbacks of the pair together.

‘Sundress’ samples Tame Impala’s ‘Why Won’t You Make Up Your Mind,’ from their ‘Innerspeaker’ album, giving Rocky the ability to experiment with his sound. ‘Testing’ which released earlier this year also housed another experimental song entitled ‘Fukk Sleep’ featuring FKA Twigs, the video dropped earlier this month.
