Knucks - Leon the Professional [Video]

Entering the Official UK Charts for the first time ever is North-West London rapper Knucks, with his single ‘Leon the Professional’. Serving as Knucks’ fourth release of the year, following on from the double single ‘Alpha House’ / ‘Hide & Seek’ and ‘Bando’ via his COLORS session. A strong opener to a year which is bound to be a big one for this prolific artist.

Each release from Knucks delves deeper to reveal his knack for storytelling, an acquired skill likely to have been picked up from his love for films which is often demonstrated in his visuals. ‘Leon the Professional’ is inspired by the 1994 film Léon and is produced by Knucks himself with lyrical eloquence, complimented by the twinkling of piano, weightless strings, and powerful drill bass line. The immersive video directed by Helena Milena illustrates the inspiration even further, with the classic film’s narrative and tropes used to capture Knucks’ reflections.
