Nonso Amadi - Foreigner [Video]

With an infectious rhythm, seductive saxophone intervals and tender vocals, Nonso Amadi invites us all to the dancefloor on ‘Foreigner’. The Canadian-based Afro-R&B, soul singer-songwriter and producer from Nigeria, is back to captivate listeners after his two-year hiatus. In this offering we hear him pull together his much-loved Afro-R&B soulful sound with rich jazz components, deepening his sound with a willingness to experiment what marks a new chapter.

‘Foreigner’ plays homage to his Nigerian roots, with added charm from the African drumlines that sit softly behind Nonso’s lyrical confessions. In the Jordan Lee-directed visuals shot in Toronto, we see Nonso captured in deep colours and surrounded by synchronised dancers, creating the perfect visual accompaniment to this passionate, sensual number. Speaking on the ideation behind the visuals Jordan Lee shared that, “the core of the video lies within Nonso’s deep connection to his African culture, and we wanted to represent it in a way that was true to him.”
