HOMESHAKE - Passenger Seat [Video]
Homeshake has shared the latest video for his new single ‘Passenger Seat’ which captures the mellow pensive nature of the track with an exceptional attention to detail. The single serves as the second release off of Homeshake, aka Peter Sagar’s, forthcoming fifth studio album, ‘Under the Weather’ written in 2019 when he was going through a “long, unrelenting period of sadness”.
‘Passenger Seat’ follows on from the first single off the album, ‘Vacuum’ which provided us with mellow grooves and more trippy imaginative visuals. Though drenched in pessimism and very real emotions, this new track has an innate spiritual energy that could be translated into feelings of joy or sadness depending on the listener's mood, making it universally adaptable.
The video for ‘Passenger Seat’ mirrors the relentless transcendent feelings of the song and is characterised by the mesmerising intergalactic animations and monochrome palette. “When I heard the title ‘Passenger seat’ I thought 'passenger seat—cars—traffic jam—in space?’” said designer and director, Pete Sharp. “I think the slow-moving interstellar pile up really reflects the pace and mood of the track.”
Homeshake said of the video, “the details in each scene are amazing. They complement the minimalist production of the song so well.”
