SuperJazzClub - Cameras [Video]
Meet the Ghanian creative collective SuperJazzClub and enjoy their groovy new single ‘Cameras’.
SuperJazzClub is a 10-person collective, built of friends BiQo, Øbed, Seyyoh, Tano Jackson, Joey Turks, Ansah Live and Gloria Dennis, with Anthony Orleans-Lindsay, Oliver Nortt and Abena Adu working behind the scenes. Formed in 2018 in Accra, the supergroup combine their diverse talents as artists, producers, filmmakers and DJs for various ventures. Launching their own indie label just last year, new single ‘Cameras’ is the collective’s first tune of 2021, following a spate of songs released during lockdown - including the popular ‘Bordeaux’ and reggae-inflected track ‘Cellular’.
‘Cameras’, a funky, rich mix of West African and alt R&B elements that’ll drag you straight to the dance floor. The release extends far beyond just music, and arrives as part of a project that includes a themed music video and a 45-page photo look book created in collaboration with Ghanaian photographers and filmmakers David N.O Ansah, J.K Wormenor, Prince Cartiee and Julius Tornyi. Tapping into the group’s various musical talents, love of fashion and eye for strong visuals, SuperJazzClub are a shining example of the power of collaboration.
