Elhae - My City feat. Masego [Video]

US artists Elhae and Masego team up for summery R&B tune ‘My City’.

What a smooth duo these two make! ‘My City’ instantly hits you with its easy charm and chilled out instrumentals. The song opens up with a radio-friendly chorus, where Masego playfully croons, “I’ve got the keys to my city / they play my song for the ladies / when you with me no problems / ask about me, ask about me.” Elhae then steps forward for the verses, leading the way with his rich vocal and melodically offering some flirtatious and confident lines that show he’s a hit with the ladies. The song’s Loris Russier-directed music video emanates the same happily carefree vibe, catching the two artists thwacking some golf balls from their rooftop paradise, before heading for a wild ride through the desert. 

The collaboration between the two artists had been a long time coming. As Elhae explains, “I called Masego on FaceTime one day asking if he wanted to be a part of this next project. We’ve always talked about working but never got a chance to really make it happen due to scheduling and what not. Fortunately, and unfortunately due to COVID, time was all we had. Masego had the beat and the hook done already so it was up to me to provide the rest. I reached out to my good friend Ari to help as well and it was done.”
