Crystal Murray - CREEPS feat. Elheist [Video]

Parisian musician Crystal Murray and South London’s hidden gem Elheist link up for new song ‘CREEPS’, dropping a smoky house-party visual for the second part of Crystal’s ‘Hotel Room Drama’ video series.

‘CREEPS’ is Crystal’s song for the ‘outcasts’, who make the parties lit and the world a hell of a lot more interesting. Crystal, who created her ‘Hotel Room Drama’ video series as a work of self-expression and to showcase artists she admires, was thrilled to team up with the UK female rapper, singer, songwriter and producer, Elheist, who dropped her debut EP ‘Wholesome Goody’ last year. The woozy, trap-influenced track is an intense, late-night jam that conjures up scenes of an after party at its hazy peak. Fittingly, such scenes are what make up the track’s seductive music video, which like Crystal’s previous ‘Hotel Room Drama’ offering ‘GGGB’, feat. Dian, features footage of Crystal performing a live session in a European hotel / apartment.

On the release, Crystal explains, "’Creeps’ is a song I wrote after a party me and my friend ‘crashed’ - the people were very closed-minded, the music had no drums, and the minute we started playing our music and opening up the room to another vibe that was more colourful and more open, everyone started dancing.  The party became fun and as a result of the music change, we became the centre of attention. People really looked at us like we were something different and something that they had never seen before. There is always a moment where you feel different when you're a person of colour, I wanted to bring more beauty to this kind of situation - calling ourselves words like freaks and creeps, because we're not ashamed of being different. And in the end, we're the one making you move, and we are what you love!"
