Miller Blue, Ahwlee - Me, Myself & I [Video]
Written in the depths of social isolation, East London’s Miller Blue unleashes his brilliant first track of the year, ‘Me, Myself and I’.
Peppered with jazzy riffs and a devilishly catchy chorus, the hit was co-produced by Ahwlee (who has previously worked with MNDSGN) and created during a socially isolated period during lockdown. Miller Blue’s vocals are rich and soulful as he sings and delivers his cleverly worded observations. He explains, “Being forced to stay inside and away from others was a struggle for me in many ways but ultimately helped pave the way towards a deeper stint of self exploration in a way I’d never experienced before. This song discusses some of these observations made about both myself and the world during this time.”
Shot in Toronto’s Chinatown area and along the city’s beaches, the track’s music video explores two sides of its subject’s mind as he struggles to find harmony during lockdown. Miller describes the video as “embodying the mental pitfalls of humanity through his physicality… We watch him battle his way through his mind until he reaches a state of serenity and overcomes his inner struggle, bringing back his joyous state to the surface”.
Miller’s forthcoming project ‘The Tree Of Tenéré’ is out later this year. We’ll report back when we hear more.
