Brent Faiyaz - CIRCLES feat. Purr [Video]

Posting a mysterious Dropbox link labeled  ‘DO NOT LISTEN’ on Twitter, Brent Faiyaz surprised fans with the release of three dynamic new tracks including ‘Circles’, ‘Price of Fame’ and ‘Paper Soldier’. ‘Circles’, which features music from the NYC band, Purr, is a tantalising and intriguing piece of soulful hip-hop, that teases listeners from the get go with enigmatic lyrics and a palpable absence of drums. The slow build towards some sort of release is left unbroken for three minutes until finally, the beat hits and we feel the full, joyful effect of the song’s cathartic outro. The visual for ‘Circles’ matches the lingering, mesmeric vibe of its music, as we slowly circle round a moodily lit Faiyaz until he’s ready to leave the building, giving us a glimpse into the perspective of this candid yet mysterious artist.
