South African artist Marcus Harvey journeys through falling in love amid life's adversities on new EP 'I Am Marcus Harvey, You Still Don't Know Me' which pays ode to a future lover while doubling as an exploration of society’s role in issues like poverty, unemployment, drug and alcohol abuse.

With a mellow arrangement of light-hearted beats, airy synths, and hazy vocals, the EP comes to life as a rose-tinted view of the world before splitting at the seams to reveal raw anecdotes of Marcus’ own life experiences. Despite the serious contemplation found within the potent lyricism of the production, Marcus’ silky vocals and relaxing chord progressions encourage listeners to forget their worries and enjoy the simple things in life.

The Alexandra-raised act who fell in love with music at a young age led by the musical notes that surrounded him at his mother’s Shebeen (informal licensed drinking place) has honed his craft, building a steady fanbase with his uplifting yet reflective musicality.
