D Double E - Tell Me A Ting feat. Kano [Video]

UK grime MC D Double E lights it up with his new single ‘Tell Me A Ting’, calling on his old friend Kano to help stoke the flames.

“DUN DUN DUUUUUN!” Is the shattering introduction that welcomes us to this fierce new track. The OTT sound effect is wound directly into the core of this tune and plays as an intense hook throughout. The move is bold, but it absolutely works. It’s a ludicrous track on many levels, with D Double E’s relentlessly riffing, “Man can’t tell me a ting about…” followed by his many areas of expertise: Cash, cars, Jamaica, production, weed, pain and way more besides. Incredible flow and powerful delivery is what we’d expect to see from two Grime legends, and that’s exactly what we get, with Kano delivering some incredible bars partway through.

The track’s music video is dramatic, with some action-movie effects but most of all, it’s a tribute to London’s streets and districts where Grime was built. D Double E’s much awaited album will arrive next month, the first since ‘Jakuum’ in 2018. The new 12-track LP will feature leading UK grime and hip-hop artists including Ms Banks, Ghetts and Giggs.
