Joey Bada$$ - The Light Pack [Audio + Video]

Brooklyn native Joey Bada$$ marks his rebirth with the release of The Light Pack a trilogy of singles detailing the 25 year old rappers self-imposed time away from music.

Three years since the release of ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$, the second studio album by Joey Bada$$ which holds strong relevance even more so today, as its body of work powerfully pulls the veil back on the continued systemic racism and police brutality imposed on African-Americans. The Light Pack takes on a more positive approach, with recognition of finding the light through the darkness. Joey’s ability to narrate necessary truths and words of wisdom continues on and we hope this is the return of much more music to come.

Accompanying the 3-track release is a music visual for ‘The Light’ which blends striking documentation of Joey attending a traditional Haitian Voodoo ceremony. Directed by Kerby Jean-Raymond and Levi Turner, the visual is a raw documentation of the true rebirth experienced by Joey, leading him to a deeper connection with his ancestors and exploration of enlightenment of mind, body soul - all of which is the core message throughout The Light Pack.
