East London based rapper/producer Jung Mergs releases new single ‘PARANOIA,’ depicting a conversation between himself and his weed induced anxiety pleading for release from psychosis episodes, addiction and other destructive habits.

The self-produced track underpinned by minimal drum work and laced with experimental, lo-fi sound effects creates a chilling yet inviting soundscape as Mergs defies the weak ego, dropping bars of raw truth on the fragility of the human mind. Part way through the track, the anxious mind and awakened ego talks back, metaphorically implying that the weed and induced paranoia are very much separate entities from ourselves, which we can indeed escape from.

Purposeful music which is both entertaining and enlightening. The single’s tagline ‘Everyone Talks About The Good, Never The Bad,’ is a well needed statement which as a society, we desperately need to change.
