Anderson .Paak - Lockdown [Video]
Anderson .Paak depicts the unfortunate normality of today with his new release ‘Lockdown,’ delivering both a very relevant and genius visual, showcasing our current reality.
From face masks, to protesting and portraying the pain and anger inflicted onto the black community around the world, ‘Lockdown’ couldn’t be any clearer on the state of society and the effects of oppression and police brutality against black people. With an array of cameos from other West Coast based artists such as SiR and Syd, along with a heartfelt acappella by rapper Jay Rock, ‘Lockdown’ is not only an incredible new track and visual, it’s a sign of solidarity showcasing the power of unity and the struggle shared amongst us all.
Directed by Dave Meyers, the visual is most definitely impressive throughout however, it’s the end of the video that really hits home - .Paak shares an intimate moment with his son, which brings him to tears as he imagines the struggle he too, may also one day face… but’s let’s hope not!
