The virtual sustainable fashion event you're not going to want to miss!
If the world going into a pandemic due to Covid-19, witnessing raging bush fires in Australia and flooding in the UK has taught us anything, it’s that the world, the environment and the wildlife around us is worth saving. The changes seen from the world being on lockdown have been astonishing. Seas and rivers are clearer, wildlife roams, and air pollution has decreased. As fashion lovers, it can be tricky to dissect how to help and how to get behind the cause when fast fashion has such a huge impact on the deterioration of the environment. The industry itself can feel quite contradictory when rallying to help protect the earth, but every action counts and the more aware we are, the more we can do to help. Loving fashion, caring about your style or being an avid shopper doesn’t have to stop you from making a difference.
The Virtual Conscious Festival is an event taking place over three days in this week for sustainable fashion and lifestyle lovers to come together in an eco-friendly way, to learn and inform each other and newcomers to the wonders and opportunities of sustainable fashion.
The conscious festival, originating in Asia and founded by Green is The New Black, is a registered social enterprise and platform for people who want to learn how to live more consciously. Green is The New Black supports social and environmental entrepreneurs and brands leading the way to a clearer and more environmentally friendly lifestyle.
The festival will be bringing together the best speakers, change makers, businesses and brands in sustainable living. Attendees will have the ability to visit virtual zones via any device, providing inspiration, optimism, networking and the ability to shop sustainably.
There will be a plethora of exciting sessions to take part in, including fashion talks covering topics such as ‘dressing with a purpose’ and ‘the up-cycling economy’. A virtual marketplace will be open for guests to browse over 70 different conscious brands and there will be a networking zone to connect with other like-minded individuals. Lastly, there will be a late afternoon/evening (depending on where you are in the world) party with DJs and artists from Paris, London, Singapore and Hong Kong. What’s more, you’ll be able to interact with them so be sure to dress up for the occasion (keeping it as eco-friendly as you can).
Taking place from tomorrow (12-14 June 2020), you can sign up and get your ticket here.
Prices start from $5.
