World Tour! Stüssy celebrates 40th anniversary with designer t-shirt collaboration

40 years of Stüssy has resulted in a group of designers creating their own artwork on the classic Stüssy World Tour T-shirt. Born in the late 80s, early 90s, Stüssy grew into a brand that now represents music, surf, skate and street culture. Popularity spread for the brand, appealing to a worldwide network of creative young people. Inspired by the people that wore the clothes alike, the brand reached the homes of trendsetters across the globe. Artistic people from New York, London, Tokyo to name a few were inspired by the brand and wanted to become a part of it. From this worldwide networking the “International Stüssy Tribe” was born.

Selling at only select stores with limited quantities helped form a strong Stüssy fan base and following, with people keen to get their hands on the newest drops. A completely new concept at the time has proven invaluable to the brand and has become its namesake.

To celebrate the brands 40th Anniversary, renowned designers Rick Owns, Virgil Abloh, Takahiro Myashita, Marc Jacobs and Martine Rose have each designed their own Stüssy World Tour T-shirt. Each bringing a unique perspective from different cities and communities they represent and inspire the brand in their own ways.

Each t-shirt represents Stüssy as a brand while having sought after individuality from the designers. A portion of profits will be donated from each designer to a charity of their choice.
