London Fashion Week | Spring / Summer 2020 THISNORTHAT Fashion Show

Bursts of colour, boldness and sophistication. These are the words I would use to describe THISNORTHAT’s SS20 collection. Making their debut appearance at London Fashion Week with Fashion Scout, I was pleasantly appeased by the array of bright and refreshing tones and intricate cuts being displayed on the runway.

The brainchild of Yubo Lin and Li Chen Tan, THISNORTHAT fuses functional clothing with bold colours and eccentric silhouettes, to counter the norm and boundaries of traditional design. The SS20 collection takes inspiration from an individuals desire to succeed, along with the battles of common fears towards failure, feeling isolated and being judged by others. Ultimately, the existence of fear is actually what drives us to success, allowing us to develop through growth and become a better individual for it.

THISNORTHAT’s collection is here to embrace us all to live our lives to the fullest, for no one but ourselves and most importantly, spread positivity. Let the clothes speak!
