Fashion Scout Merit Award Winner, WEN PAN’s SS20 Show

London based womenswear label WEN PAN is the winner of Fashion Scout’s globally acclaimed SS20 Merit Award, following in the footsteps of last seasons winner Tolu Coker.

Now in it’s third season, the WEN PAN label initially launched in 2018. The brand fuses the spirit of oriental recluses with romantic grunge aesthetics. By using raw fluidity and layering of textures, WEN PAN evokes characters in a balance of subtlety and freedom. The brands deconstructed pieces explore the beauty of brokenness, traces of human presence and Chinese ancient recluses and Grunge of 1990.

For SS20 WEN PAN presents contrasting floral prints and textures, mixing fragile linen layers and sheer silk fabrics with rough cotton drapery and asymmetric cutting. The use of utility wear with workwear detailing continues, in a palette of muted greens and faded sandy cream. A truly stunning collection with rawness and depth, embodying real emotion through each individual piece.
