Skepta & WizKid - Energy (Stay Far Away) [Video]

Skepta and Wizkid bring the heat for their latest video, taking us to their homeland of Nigeria. White beaches, palm trees and a ton of gorgeous women are at the forefront of the visuals, set in the countries busy capital, Lagos. Flaunting the beautiful city, the video directed by Meji Alabi, switches between clear landscape to old-school VHS footage-style shots, perfectly matching the mellow vibe of the song. ‘Energy (Stay Far Away)’ was initially released earlier this summer in June. The video almost reimagines an extended summer for the viewer, following its later September release.

Strong chemistry between the two Nigerian artists was always apparent on the track, with Wizkid’s smooth vocals effortlessly complimenting Skep’s laid back rhymes. Their collaborative pairing is only amplified by the visuals, where stylistically both Skepta and Wiz come together very naturally. The video also previews Skepta’s exclusive Nike Air Max Deluxe SK’s and pieces from his Mains label. On a whole, the video pays great homage to Lagos’ young creative scene.
