Father - We Had A Deal & Lotto feat. ABRA [Videos]
Atlanta based rapper and Awful Records founder Father, returns with the release of new music via his new Awful Records partnership with Sony RCA. 'We Had A Deal' and 'Lotto' featuring ABRA, become the first releases from Father, taken from his forthcoming album which is due for release later in the year.
'We Had A Deal' written and produced by Father, displays a tongue and cheek performance, on all the reasons why you may just wanna stick to the deal that was discussed and agreed - otherwise, you may just end up getting killed! Directed by Father himself and produced by AVONNI Global, the visuals see Father playing out the roles of both a pimp and a County Sherif.
'Lotto' written by Father once again but produced by meltycannon and Nate Donmoyer, sees ABRA taking the lead on the chorus rapping, "Pull up to the ‘sino and I’m sipping on Coladas
War crimes at the table, we just hit the lotto." The visuals showcase the two Awful Records/RCA Records artist's enjoying life at a casino and riding around in the back of an 'old skool' Cadillac.
The partnership with Sony, empowers the Atlanta born indie label to develop and sign new acts to Awful Records/RCA Records. On signing with RCA Records, Father stated:
“Awful has done a lot for indie music. We showed many just how far you can get on your own. Now we finally have the opportunity to take things further and grander with RCA Records. Not only that, it was given to us on our own terms. When you put as much thought into the music as we do, you want it to be heard.”
Also recently released, is the audio for another follow up Father single entitled 'Thotnite.'
