Ari Lennox – Whipped Cream [Audio]

Ari Lennox

After signing to J. Cole’s label in 2015 and releasing her debut EP 'PHO' shortly after, Dreamville’s muse Ari Lennox, is back to satisfy her fans with a sweet new single titled ‘Whipped Cream.’

The soulful 70’s inspired track produced by fellow Dreamville signee Elite, embraces the cliché struggles of constantly being reminded of an ex-lover. The R&B instrumental with its refined riffs perfectly marries Lennox’s playfully written lyrics. She sings: “Online shoppin' and robbin' my chance of survivin', I've been late on rent, what was I thinkin, I'm gon' go to the gym, squat real low for a man.”

In a recent press release, Lennox revealed that 'Whipped Cream' is about the same ex that influenced her 2016 EP 'PHO.' She was quoted saying: "Whipped Cream is my little baby that expresses how I feel about an ex that I’m still not over. He’s the same n***a that I talked about in PHO.”

Whether you're an Ari Lennox fan who has eagerly waited two years on a new single or someone just looking to satisfy a classic R&B sweet tooth, I would suggest you try the ‘Whipped Cream’ being served below and on all major music streaming services, like right now.
