When it comes to Liam Hodges, it’s all in the details. Even before guests planned their show schedules, let alone took their seats, he had won the most entertaining show invitations. I hope you’re hungry for some new season style, as show details were provided on Lobster Shack bibs. We ate it up.

Though not the first to carry the torch of London’s street aesthetic, it certainly seems firmly in hand now. This season, Hodge’s took reference from the ever trashy, ever glamorised, viva Las Vegas: with a London spin. Think flame motifs, temporary face tattoos, dodgy sunscreen and even a Trojan soldier-meets sweat co-ords and plenty of miss-match prints.

There were accents of leopard and smatterings of leafy Hawaiian motifs a long way from home but never out of place. Nostalgic? Yes, but there was also a sense of dystopia mixed in that brought the 90s aesthetic very much to the present. Anyone else feeling ‘crapped out’ lately?

We also saw another round of collaboration with Fila, boasting a more slim-line silhouette than their AW18 counterparts while remaining firmly in the dad-shoe category. And if you’re yet to be converted to this camp, perhaps a cowboy boot is more your vibe. Though less of the tailoring that brought a more mature identity to last season, Hodges feels well into the swing of his signature style and we’re excited to see this designer continue to grow.
