VanJess - Another Lover [Video]

First of all, let me start off by saying this… if you have not yet listened to VanJess’ debut album ‘Silk Canvas,’ I strongly suggest you go do so, after reading this article. You will not be disappointed and you will thank us later… trust me!

Ivana and Jessica Nwokike, the Nigerian-American sister duo return with visuals for their Kaytranada produced single ‘Another Lover.’ One of my favourite songs from their debut album, smooth R&B vocals, laced over an incredibly soul infused, electronic production that simply makes you want to move. That feel good club music, you wished your local would spin on the daily.

The video, absolutely stunning! Directed by Mahaneela, who is fast becoming the director/filmmaker to know, having also recently directed Amber Mark’s latest video ‘Put You On,’ featuring DRAM. Throughout the visual for ‘Another Lover,’ we are treated to emotion through movement, four beautiful black women complimenting VanJess’ performance with contemporary and African influenced dancing.
