It's a ROOM TWO takeover for the final dance at Tottenham's Moko, headlined by Angela Rose
Saturday 28 September brings the return of ROOM TWO, the newly launched bi-monthly club night aimed to champion and platform black electronic dance music. With an epic launch event headlined by DJ and Producer Ossie, the ROOM TWO team are back at North London’s Moko, with a new headline act to scream and shout about!
Taking to the decks for a two-hour journey of eclectic music is South London’s very own Angela Rose. Very much known for delivering a fusion of melodic, progressive, deep and Afro house, Angela’s knowledge of electronic dance music travels far and between. A spiritual being at her core, Angela’s true passion for music becomes the driving force behind each one of her DJ sets. A release of high energy is always the aim, a connection with her audience becomes the win, a skill she has mastered effortlessly over the years, transcending nothing but great vibes through soulfully uplifting sounds.
Angela is no stranger to the London house music scene. All your favourite house music events, Angela’s talent has most definitely blessed the decks. From the likes of Sef Kombo’s Til Two, Motherland and Sondela Parties, Originals Festival, Tribal Soul, Secret Brunch, Drum Radio’s Afrotastic, RELEASE day party and numerous appearances at some of the capital’s top electronic clubs such as Egg London, Ministry of Sound and HERE (Outernet). 2022 saw Angela become one of Defected’s Unsung Heroes, a competition offering seven warm-up DJs around the world, the chance to become Defected's newest residents for that year. For Angela specifically, this opportunity lead to a special takeover at Defected Broadcasting House, as well as a spot on the line up at Defected Croatia 2023.
Angela’s momentum has continued throughout 2024 and a headline for ROOM TWO becomes the wonderful icing on a well baked cake. “It’s going to be a night to share with individuals,” explains Angela on the forthcoming headline. “For those who all have the same thing in common; the love for music in an intimate setting.”
ROOM TWO also becomes the finale event to take place at Moko, Tottenham with the venue sadly coming to a close. “We’re super sad to say goodbye to Moko,” shares the team behind ROOM TWO. “It’s been an incredible North London spot and honestly, all that there is on this side of town. It’s a fantastic hi-fi bar and we’re so privileged to have launched our club-night series at a venue that truly felt like home. Thank you so much to Rudi Minto de Wijs, Bradley Zero and Nathanael Williams for trusting us! We’ll be sure to go out with a bang for the venue’s final rodeo.”
